Men's equivalent to the Casio LA670WA-1 and LA11WB-1Jan 05, 2011
By The DNR My mother has had the Casio LA670WA-1 and LA11WB-1 watches (Casio Sport Watch Black Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet) for years because of their easy preset countdown timer that allows you to quickly time 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 min, 10 min, etc.
This watch seems to be the best equivalent in a Men's watch to quickly set up timers for your tasks or games. The countdown feature in this watch is incredibly useful for timing work, workouts, games, or cooking.
This is part of a series: Casio W756B-1AV, Casio W756-1AV, and Casio W756D-7AV. (rubber band, cloth band, and metal band respectively).
All of the watches in the W756 series have 9 preset start timers: 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 minutes.
Casio series site: http://www.casio.com/products/Timepiece/Sports/W756_Series Manuals: http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw3100.pdf)
It takes a couple of button clicks to get to the timer, and it doesn't have the 1, 3, and 5 minute timers, but it has been a fantastic watch.
Would highly recommend this watch for a guy who likes to be able to time things quickly.

Name brand, 100 m. waterproof watch for 20 bucksDec 09, 2010
By I. Hunter I have had the watch for about a month and it is great. Just what one would expect. It does have more features than I would probably prefer (e.g., a somewhat complex stopwatch function), but that is just the way these things are going. I like the one-click change from 12- to 24-hour time.
I bought the watch planning on switching out the band when I got it. That is probably a good thing as the band which came with the watch seems un-naturally skinny. The watch is 1.6" in diameter and the band just does not seem to go with the watch. But, maybe that is just my taste.
Anyway, I wanted a Timex or Casio 100 m. watch for cheap. That is exactly what this is. I generally get 5-7 years out of these kind of watches before they even need a new battery. Often the watch goes ka-put sometime during the life of the second battery.
If this watch got run over by a truck today, I would buy another one tomorrow...at least if they were still 20 bucks.

worthless as stopwatchJan 09, 2012
By tj stopwatch function is worthless as it only stops the small numbers on bottom and only shows whole seconds as the clock on top continues to run??? i am a coach and need more than whole seconds to write down when i forget my normal stopwatch. why have a stop watch function if you cant get the time that is shown on the large display with fractions of seconds?

Perfect for watch for a beginnerSep 14, 2011
By Aaditi This watch has what I was looking for - at a low price. You can enter in nine intervals - just what I need as I finish my Couch-to-5k jogging program. I also use it to time my swims in the pool. Overall great product.

Will not last!!Jun 04, 2011
By RUBEN First off, it is extremly difficult to set the time on this thing. The booklet it came with was no help. Secondly, the band was a really small cloth, which made it pretty tight. Lastly, the stopwatch feature gave out after 6-9 months. The last time I used it I was not able to stop the time. Needless to say, I didn't even bother to try to get it fixed and when I threw it out the time was still running.
