Nice watch, solar cell is the bestJan 28, 2008
By Doris I used to own a citizen eco Drive similar to this exact model. Needed to get the band resized since it was large but the watch is beautiful, lightweight and metal band does not tarnish since it is stainless steel. Have yet to see how long the gold finish will last but my previous two tone watch held its color for over 2 years. It does not need its battery changed since it is a rechargable cell that works via solar cell and artificial light works. Just be careful if you wear long sleeve shirts all the time, if so you will need to leave the watch under the sun or a lamp when you are not wearing it to charge it. I dropped the previous watch a few times and the hour hand came off. Durable this watch is not but it is definitely classy and good for someone who wants a low maintenance watch.

Best watch I've owned!!May 07, 2010

I received this watch in June 09 for my birthday from my husband and kids. They had originally picked out a different eco-drive watch, but I had some issues with it and returned it to the jewelry store where they purchased it. I picked this one out to replace it and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I've had to have the band adjusted twice to fit my wrist, the first time it was still big and slid around my wrist, so I had them remove another link and it fits great. The crystals are small, but I feel like it adds just enough 'bling' to make it not boring looking. I wear it everyday no matter what I'm wearing. I love the fact that you don't need to replace a battery. My last watch, a Seiko, was eating batteries like crazy and was told to I needed to replace the mechanism. For a little bit more money, I got this nicer and better watch. Highly recommend it. Now I'm looking for a silver version as I'm moving overseas and anything 'gold' color is at risk to be stolen, and I love this watch to much to risk having it stolen. So, I'm searchinig for something similar in silver to wear overseas and keep my 'gold' toned one here in the U.S.

Citizen eco-drive rocksJan 28, 2007
By H. Perera Got this as a present for my mum. Great watch. Good bling value and keeps accurate time. Strap is easy to adjust and best of all, it never needs batteries or winding. Highly recommend.

Nice, but...Apr 29, 2009

Nice, pretty watch, EXCEPT FOR ONE THING... It is difficult to size to fit a small wrist. The links in the band are 2 different sizes; some are removable, some are not. The two links closest to the face, with the crystals, are non-removable, as are several others. The band is VERY large; good if you have a larger wrist, but not if it is small. I had to remove all, but one, of the removeable links to get it to fit. If you leave extra links in, then the watch flops around, turning upside down. Amazon will not take back a watch that you have tried to size. There are no wrist-size measurements listed on Amazon's or Citizen's websites, it is not clear from their pictures either and neither can tell you what size wrists this watch can be made to fit. In addition, if you try to return the watch due sizing issues, Amazon will charge you for return shipping. If you have a large or medium-sized wrist, you should be okay, but BEWARE to small-wristed women... (This seems to be an issue with many other Citizen watches. Also, I've been told small-wristed men have the same problem with Citizen watches.) Otherwise, a pretty watch, but would have prefered an expansion band.
