The other reviewers who downrated this watch are correct. Right out of the box the hour hand was mispositioned. A few weeks later moisture showed up under the crystal. Then a month ago the watch started to run sporadically. Since I bought it in August I figured it would be under warranty so I returned it to Luminox's repair facility in Cranston, R.I., only to be informed that Amazon is not an authorized dealer and it will cost $97 to repair the watch. That money is going toward another watch that IS NOT LUMINOX!

I've had this watch for about a year and it is one of my favorite watches (other watches include Tag Huer, Christopher Ward, Seiko, etc.). Keeps great time and is very, very tough. I am also growing very fond of the velcro watch band.

Don't waste your time. This Luminox watch is at best, a factory second. I suspect it may be a knockoff. If I can return it I will! The second hand does not work properly and the band keeps falling apart. It is unwearable and useless!

I was gunshy because there are some awful reviews here, this thing isn't cheap and quality is hit or miss in the reviews. So buying from amazon was a risk I reluctantly took, I have had many bad experiences and just assume anything I buy here is mine whether I want it or not, whether it works or not.
Luminox has a pretty solid reputation (i thought?) and my last one took a beating for years.
So this watch, is not like a heavy rich watch feel, but is large and it's not bad. I love the band too.
no remorse with this purchase, but it is about 2/3 overpriced. Should be a hundo.
