Strong Watch...Weak AlarmJun 12, 2007

This watch has a great presence and performance...from the flight deck to the board room. The alarm however is quite faint,a distant chime, and with the smallest amount of ambient noise can easlily be drowned out. I use watch alarms as prompts for meetings, to return phone calls within the promised time frame and as a wake-up for early morning workouts...and the alarm on this watch is for the most part useless. Although I love everything else in regards to the watch if you are looking for a functional alarm...look elsewhere. I have had watches with the same waterproof performance as this watch with far more alarming alarms.

When first I wanted to decide which watch to get, I got confused btween the Blue one and the Black one which I got. Then I went for the Black, and it is exeptionally good looking for me and goes very will with my Bulky wrist. I love it's color the most and the precsion of it. Mind you the chorno alarm is some how faint but works quite well. The only critism I have for it the the black band like color on the steel chain, this some how is only plated on and get scratched very easily, because I use this watch every day, I think it will fade away in a year or so. But the watch is very lovely, you should get one your self and get that very nice replays from friends and family.

Very beautiful watch - upon first impressions my husband loved the watch, weight, features, etc. However, and we're still currently looking into this, the second hand seems to get caught up in the same place as it goes around - leading us to believe it may be defective, as it has actually stopped there as well. We are looking into whether this is normal for this watch or a feature we're not aware of, but instincts say the second hand should be more fluid if it were really a high quality watch.

The watch arrived promptly and in perfect condition. I have had it about 10 days but just got the chance to get the band sized (the jeweler removed 3 links). Now it fits perfectly. I love the look, weight and quality feel - and it is keeping perfect time. My only question at this point is whether this model has a screw down crown. I know some do and some don't and I want to make sure before I go into the water with it.

This is a great watch. Love the features, learning how to use the different scales on the rotating dial. Never really learned to use a slide rule. Makes me feel like I am ready for flight school. A friend who is in aviation says this one is genuine, compared to others which are fake. Great watch for those of us on the ground....
