 Good quality for the priceDec 19, 2006

This watch exceeded my expectations. It doesn't appear as wide as it does in the picture (which I was glad of). The width of the case is just shy of 2 cm (not including the crown). Beware though that the strap is glossy, not matte as it appears in the photo. The strap is pretty sturdy and stiff.

I'm glad I didn't spend more for this watch. It's quite small, the strap is a bit skimpy, too. However, it does keep good time..which many other watches can do as well. I'm trying to be more careful when choosing another watch.

The watch strap is glossier than what is indicated in the picture. I was worried that the watch may be too wide, but the case is about 18mm wide and it has a sleek appearance. The case has a gorgeous, classic look, and the strap is very sturdy (perhaps even too stiff, but this may lessen over time). Overall, considering the price, I'm very happy with this watch.

Don't let the looks of it fool you; the Pulsar PTC288 is an extremely durable watch! I bought one for my wife for her birthday and she's normally pretty abusive with her watches (bumping into things and hitting the crystal against hard objects. She has had this watch for approximately one and a half years and it's still holding up very nicely! She wears it daily to work (she's a doctor) and it's withstood the rigors of the hospital. Unlike most strap watches, which usually need the strap replaced about a year later, the strap on her's is still in very decent shape. This one's got a thick padded one, so it will last! She even wears it at night when we go out. I think it's a great all around watch and it looks good for dress, work, or play. I highly reccommend it! Definitely a lot cheaper in price than the Cartier Tank she has in her dresser!

I had a similar watch made by Seiko, which wasn't available at any retail stores in my area so I went with a Pulsar that too I was able to locate in the area, however, then was unable to locate it so I went online to Amazon where I found it. The Seiko watch was good, but it is twice the price of the Pulsar. The Pulsar is very elegant and classy, I have had no problems with it, the band lasts a long time as well. I have purchased an extra in case I need it. I can't say enough good things about this little Pulsar tank watch. True, as one reviewer noted, it is small, not for everyone, but to me it is in perfect taste and looks nice on my wrist. If, like me, you like an efficient and tailored look in a watch, as well as a dependable and inexpensive time-keeper, this is it. I urge you to get it, you will love it.
