Very nice first watch. However, not for a boy. It has a small face and a thin band. Perfect for a girl. Not masculine enough for a boy.

I got this after my Fossil watch battery and strap needed replacement and the store people told me it would be 27$ and 6 weeks to have those replaced. I wanted a no frills usable watch with clear numbers - and this is just what this is.
I'm 32, and though this watch is marketed as kids watch (including the cute loss policy - if it gets lost in the first year, you can get another one for 10$) there's nothing childish about the way this watch looks. It's very well made, not plasticly at all, and just really cool. I was afraid that because it's marketed for kids, the strap would not be long enough, I'm pretty small and I wear this on the second smallest hole, just like I did with my old non-kid watch.
I can't believe I got a cool nice looking watch for half the price it would have cost me to repair my old one!

This watch is wonderful for a child or perfect for a lady that has small wrists and needs an easy to read everyday watch. I am a very small, petite woman with very small wrists and this watch fits me perfectly. And this watch face is not too large, so it looks feminine and it practical for everyday, yet it is dressy enough for special occasions. This watch is very, very easy to read due to the thick numbers and thick hands. And this watch has a nightlight for dimly lit places, which lights up the whole face of the watch just by pressing the stem! The price is extremely reasonable and this is quite an attractive watch with a high quality,adjustable leather band. Therefore, I highly recommend this Timex watch!

I'm a petite woman and have always had trouble finding appropriate watches due to my very slim bones and small wrists. Since I didn't see an actual strap length anywhere aside from "kids" I was a bit concerned that this might be too small for me, but it's absolutely perfect. There are eight holes in the band, and I wear it right in the middle, at the fourth smallest hole, so there's plenty of room in either direction. I could see this being a particularly good watch for a thin older woman, as the numerals are very clear and easy to read, while the watch itself is quite attractive and adult-looking. The light-up face is a bonus. I've only had it for a couple of days, but I've had pretty good luck in the past with Timex, so I'm optimistic about its durability and lifespan. I only wish they came in a wider variety of colors!
